Project Summary

Based on years of successful project partnerships, Blackberry Farm selected Hickory Construction to relocate a historic 14,000 sf bank-style barn from Pennsylvania to their world renowned Walland, Tennessee resort. Hickory then rebuilt, refinished and converted the structure to create “The Barn” which became a James Beard Award-winning, internationally recognized luxury dining facility.

The Barn has an impressive 180,000-plus bottle collection and 8,000 unique selections on the wine list. The Barn features numerous specialized rooms such as the Tack Dining Room, which seats up to 40 people and the Wine Cellar Room which seats up to 50 people. The Harvest Dining Room is a large, wide open space covered with reclaimed barn boards and rustic exposed wood beams. A floor-to-ceiling hand-crafted stone fireplace and large chandelier in the center of this dining room add a sense of luxury to this grand setting. The well-appointed linen covered tables, sterling flatware and custom-designed furnishings complete the rustic / royal ambience of this Five-Star restaurant. Scenic views of the Great Smoky Mountains provide a perfect backdrop to The Barn’s idyllic and pastoral setting.
