Project Summary

Hickory was honored to lead the construction of this multi-building mountain estate. The architect designed the home with the intent of having the main house appear to have been built in the late 1800’s with additions made as time passed which provides a very authentic Tennessee farm feel. For example, the glass hallway that leads to the Master Suite was purposely designed with the look of a later addition.

The interior features exposed timber beams crafted from reclaimed rail road ties in their original condition and large windows which create a warm and inviting atmosphere for the homeowners and their guests. The master bedroom flooring is a custom crafted “threshing floor” design. The “Sleeping Porch” offers a tranquil venue to relax and take in the idyllic mountain setting. The separate Guest House, called the Forge Barn, is located across the main lawn which features the pool and pavilion. Sweetwater’s modern farmhouse setting also features a one-of-a-kind carriage barn style garage.
