John Sevier Pool

Built in 1970, this popular Maryville municipal pool was in need of significant renovations, including bringing it into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Hickory Construction, which had previously carried out similar renovations on the Springbrook Pool in Alcoa in 2006, was awarded the contract and finished the project in time for the start of the 2017 season in May.

Hickory added roof ventilation, increased the restroom facility and shower size and created an improved concessions area. A new roof, doors and windows were installed, and LED lighting, epoxy floors and new paint were added to the entire structure. Exterior work included a new drainage system and removal of the deck area leading from the main facility to the pool.
