Developed in partnership with architect, Jonathan Miller, and interior designer, Todd Richesin, this kitchen remodel transformed a small, dark kitchen into an open, airy focal point. Hickory’s work included a small addition and renovation of the kitchen area complete with a new mudroom, laundry room, powder room, butler’s pantry, and pantry.
Inspired by the historic home, Jonathan and Todd worked with the family to find a style that felt updated yet not out of place. The exterior of the addition is seamless to the original home. Inside, stand-out features include the light well and the three new skylights. Smaller details like “locker” cubbies in the mudroom, a fold-out drying rack in the laundry over a floor drain, and a pot filler at the stove make the space both beautiful and functional. Finally, color-changing under-counter lights and an inlay of the Tennessee Marble flooring in the butler’s pantry deliver eye-catching luxury details.
