Hickory Names Jon Hawker VP of Operations

Hickory Construction is pleased to announce it has recently promoted Jon Hawker to Vice President of Operations.

As Vice President of Operations, Hawker is responsible for all of Hickory’s production operations. Hawker’s duties are numerous, including managing Hickory’s resources and ensuring every job is completed on time and on budget.

Hickory Chairman Burke Pinnell explains that what makes Hawker unique is his ability to think about the finest details of a single job as well as the company’s overall strategy.

“He can focus on the details or be comfortable with the bigger picture,” Pinnell said.

Since starting out at Hickory in August 2002, Hawker has worked his way up through the ranks on both residential and commercial projects, beginning as a foreman before being promoted to superintendent, project manager, and then senior project manager.

“He’s developed a really keen eye for the fine details of our work, both residential and commercial,” Pinnell said. “He knows Hickory. He knows our culture.”
