Earlier this year, Hickory Construction completed Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union’s new Eagleton branch. Alcoa Tenn continues to partner with Hickory for the expansion of their main office, scheduled to break ground after the New Year.
Located on North Hall Road in Alcoa, Tenn., Alcoa Tenn’s main office serves as a hub for the credit union. But with the team experiencing rapid growth, the office was quickly becoming too small for employees.
“Throughout the design process, Hickory worked hand-in-hand with Alcoa Tenn and Josh Biden of Johnson Architecture to ensure we address all of their current and future needs,” says Chris Duncan, Hickory Vice President of Commercial Operations. “We even evaluated whether to build a new building or add on to the existing.
Duncan adds, “We ultimately chose to add 6,000 square feet on to the existing structure, laying it out in such a way that we would be able to complete construction while minimizing the impact of the team’s daily operations.”
Similar to the Eagleton branch, the expansion will include a modern, open design. Large glass walls allow for plenty of light to spread through the space, while a large center area is ideal for setting up cubicles as the bank continues to grow.
With an estimated construction timeline of eight months, the Alcoa Tenn expansion is set for completion in late summer 2019.
