Three Hickory Construction, Inc. projects achieved their first coveted LEED® Gold certifications in 2011 while working with the Tennessee Air National Guard and the Department of Energy constructing over 90,000 square feet:
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a rating system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It is the internationally recognized benchmark of excellence in design and construction relative to efficiency and impacts on the environment. Working with architects and engineers, Hickory translated designs into LEED Gold quality by utilizing:

The 134th Civil Engineering Squadron of the Tennessee Air National Guard has given Hickory an outstanding rating for construction at McGhee Tyson. Engineers evaluated several aspects of the project including Quality Control, Management Effectiveness, Timely Performance, Labor Standards Compliance and Safety.
