Building a Home for Tennesseans with Special Needs

Five state-of-the-art community homes are taking shape near Greeneville, Tennessee under the guidance of Hickory Construction. These four-bedroom homes will provide safe housing for special needs residents who require 24-hour supervision in addition to medical and nursing support.

Contracted by the Tennessee Division for Mental Retardation Services, Hickory is constructing each house to ensure it meets specific guidelines for residents who require skilled care. The 4,000 square foot stone and brick community homes are designed to fit seamlessly into residential neighborhoods.

These community homes, and others being constructed across the state, will replace the Arlington Development Center scheduled to close in 2010.
