Completed in time for the start of the 2013 academic year, Clayton-Bradley Academy in Alcoa opened its doors just four months after Hickory Construction broke ground on the pre-K through 12 STEM school. The project included six modular buildings used for a science laboratory, teachers’ offices and classrooms. Each of the six eco-friendly buildings is connected to an 8,600-square-foot administration building by a five-foot-wide covered walkway.
The administration building features offices, a health clinic and a large multipurpose area with stage, theatrical lighting and sound system. In addition, Hickory completed all related site work, including roads, utilities and parking and is expected to be involved in several ongoing projects, including a soccer field, play fields and a basketball court.
